The Studio Transfer Station is based around the same architecture as the Studio Recorder. It provides fast copying of material on Recorder Datapacks, and produces the entire range of deliverables.
The Studio Transfer Station handles two Studio Recorder Datapacks. It can copy material between Datapacks, generate a wide range of files which can be accessed over a network, and be configured to interface with LTO Autoloaders and third party RAID systems via Ethernet, Fibre Channel, or Infiniband for back-up.
Productions using the Studio Recorder can streamline their workflow by having a Studio Transfer Station to output files through the VFS. Using these two systems, Datapacks can be moved from the Studio Recorder to the Studio Transfer Station, meaning that shooting can continue on a fresh Datapack in the Recorder while the Studio Transfer Station begins generating files in parallel.
The Studio Transfer Station holds material on Datapacks, and uses the Codex Virtual File System to deliver shots in multiple industry-standard formats, seamlessly to archive tape, disk or network. It feeds any post-production workflow, including native-mode files that editing-systems can use with no importing at all.
