Codex Datapacks

We make three different removable Datapacks plus the optional Internal Datapack, which can be fitted into the Codex range of Digital Lab systems.

Onboard Recorder Datapack

Designed for use with the Codex Onboard Recorder, this Datapack uses solid state memory to provide highly robust performance at the bandwidth required to record uncompressed data from the highest resolution digital cinema cameras.

  • Up to 40m record time, uncompressed
  • Up to 256GB capacity
  • Solid state memory for consistent performance and maximum security of data

Storage 10 Datapack

Designed for use with the Codex Digital Lab systems, this Datapack offers huge capacity and exceptional performance. Multiple Storage Datapacks can be used to keep a whole production 'live', and can be loaded as required. It also provides a means of moving large amounts of data between locations quickly and easily.

  • 12hrs of uncompressed data storage
  • 36hrs of Wavelet HQ data storage
  • 10TB RAID-3 array
  • Shock mounted for stable performance and maximum security of data

Digital Lab 2 (Codex Studio Recorder) Datapack

Designed for use with the Digital Lab 2 (Codex Studio Recorder), this Datapack offers proven performance and stability and has the bandwidth to record data from the highest resolution digital cinema cameras.

  • 1hr 50m record time, uncompressed
  • 1.4TB RAID-3 array
  • Shock mounted for stable performance and maximum security of data

Internal Datapack

Designed to allow for the extremely fast duplication or offloading of material, this optional array allows for the fast recycling of Datapacks during a production. Additionally, this means the Digital Lab systems can immediately start generating deliverables and editing files while the Datapacks are back out shooting more material.

  • 41h 40m record time, using 4:1 wavelet compression
  • 9TB RAID-3 array
